I didn't feel what was happening.
It turned from blue to brown and black,
And then lightening struck the mighty earth.
It hit the globe like a boxing punch,
And disfigured its face.
Another one from the left this time,
And two, and three and once again.
This was the time when the rival clouds struck,
and blew each other apart.
You ran away from all this violence,
To save the earth from this war.
Another one from the left this time,
And two, and three and once again.
This was the time when the rival clouds struck,
and blew each other apart.
You ran away from all this violence,
To save the earth from this war.
Oh Rain, you brought the peace along,To heal the broken ribs of earth.
You are the joy, you are the ataraxis,
Only you could turn, the world on it's axis.
This was the time when the sky became Orange.
It looked so pure and full of juice.
The smell of soil moved up my nostrils,
and freshened my heart and soul.
Oh! Thank you rain for this feeling,
I could never feel, without you the same.

very dramatically written! absorbing and exotic! way to go anshul! :)
ReplyDeleteyou have given a new angle to a regular phenomenon.. it reminds me of my thoughts as a kid.. great work!!
ReplyDeleteoooooh.. nice 1.. too refreshing from those monotinous blog topics :) but its not raining here.. now i want it to rain.. its a divine feeling of dat first droplet which falls on the face in those airs of earthy muddy fragrance.. :)
ReplyDelete"You ran away from all this violence,
ReplyDeleteTo save the earth from this war."
Explain this logic to me : The violence you are talking about is the making of the rain clouds only..Lightening happens when clouds meet and hence this "violence" you talk about is nothing but a Mutually necessary evil.
Some lines were not rhyming...why dnt you stick to Sonnet writing
write something about topics such as earth....people are getting more technological and advance....leaving behind their traditions and cultures....they are not thinking about their earth....no clean air and water...the only purpose is to make money
ReplyDelete@ Akansha, Nishta n Aanchal .. Thnx guys :)

I agree it is necessary but all in all it is violence...as in the lightening beating up the ground, clouds quarreling with each other n shouting at each other.
"Why dnt you stick to Sonnet writing"
Well, I would but when I start writing I don't put restrictions to my mind..I just start writing. It just totally depends on my mood.
@Anonymous.. thnx fr ur suggestion, will try writing about the same. :-)
